Tired Eyes

November 20, 2017

It’s Monday morning.  You slept in all weekend, feel reasonably well rested. Yet you look in the mirror and those dark circles are staring back at you regardless….What gives?

The reason for these nuisances can be attributed to several different things:

-volume loss or fat herniation creating a shadow effect

 -increased density of blood vessels

- excessive pigmentation.

Luckily there are treatment options!  Excess pigment and blood vessels may be amenable to laser therapy.  If it’s hollowing you suffer from, fillers will be your friend.  Perpetually puffy under the eyes?  You may in fact benefit most from surgery to re-drape the tissues under your skin, or remove them entirely.

No matter what the cause is, go see your friendly plastic surgeon to make a plan that will be most effective for you.  And wake up looking more refreshed!
